      The Seventh Annual Dr. Pamela C. Williams Breast Cancer Memorial Lecture & Luncheon

      An annual event honoring the legacy of Dr. Pamela C. Williams, prior Executive Vice Dean of the School of Medicine.  This year's speaker is Kim Johnson, M.D., Senior Director, African-American Health Equity Initiative (AA HEI) at Susan G. Komen. Dr. Williams will discuss: Factors that contribute to breast cancer disparities among African-American women; The components of the Collective Impact Model - which addresses complex social issues through cross-sector collaboration to create community and systems change; The scientific basis for the African-American initiative and how Susan G. Komen is using the Collective Impact approach to develop the AA HEI; Identify next steps for the project interventions. Luncheon follows presentation.
