      EVENT DETAILS
Restless Heart, Nashville Symphony to Host 'Music with a Mission' Benefit October 14

For the second year, the award-winning country music group, Restless Heart and the Nashville Symphony will host “Music with a Mission,” featuring an amazing lineup of performers accompanied by the Grammy-award winning Nashville Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission.

This evening to raise awareness and funds for the Nashville Rescue Mission will feature Restless Heart & Friends. Scheduled in the variety of talent are Amy Grant, Grammy and Dove Award-winning contemporary Christian music artist; Branford Marsalis, legendary Grammy Award winning saxophonist and Tony Award nominee composer, with Joey Calderazzo, jazz pianist; Ricky Skaggs, Grammy Award winning recording artist; Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Grammy Award winning country music legends; Tracy Lawrence, country recording artist; The Booth Brothers, southern gospel trio; Alison Brown, virtuoso banjo player and guitarist; and Karyn Williams, contemporary Christian music artist.
The Nashville Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Jim Gray. WSM Morning Show host Bill Cody and WSMV-TV anchor Demetria Kalodimos will serve as masters of ceremonies for the evening.

Tickets, starting as low as $35, for this star-studded event went on sale July 17, 2012. Prior to the show, guests will have an opportunity to bid in a silent auction on items donated by performing and other celebrity artists. Tickets and other information are available online at www.mwmnashville.com, or by calling (615) 687-6400.

“Restless Heart is looking forward to hosting ‘Music With a Mission’ with the Nashville Symphony again this year, and we are especially grateful for the fantastic artist roster of our friends, who are all donating their participation. All of the money raised from this event will go to the Nashville Rescue Mission to feed, shelter and nurture thousands of Middle Tennessee’s homeless and hungry men, women and children,” said Dave Innis, Restless Heart keyboards/vocalist and co-producer/musical coordinator for the event.

“The Nashville Rescue Mission has so many programs beyond just food and shelter—you can get your GED, counseling, spiritual support, plus help getting back to the work with classes in résumé writing, computer labs and so much more,” Innis points out. “We are proud that our Nashville Symphony neighbor is so generously providing the Schermerhorn for a second time along with its Grammy Award winning orchestra.”

Innis emphasizes, “Last year’s event raised over $70,000 for the Mission, but more importantly, it raised awareness. Restless Heart is proud to be a part of this process of giving back to our Nashville community, and we are fortunate to have so many friends willing to step up and help us with ‘Music With a Mission.”

Other Restless Heart band members include Larry Stewart, lead vocals and acoustic guitar; Paul Gregg, bass guitar and lead vocals; Greg Jennings, lead guitar and vocals; and John Dittrich, drums, percussion and lead vocals.

The silent and online auction will be chaired by Adrienne Innis, who indicates that among the treasures up for bid will be items from Jack White of The White Stripes; American rock duo; Foster the People, an alternative pop band; Restless Heart; and George Jones, Country Music Hall of Fame legend. There will also be “Experience Packages” similar to last year’s auction item, “Evening with Bill Anderson,” which included a limousine ride to a private dinner with the legendary singer/songwriter, courtesy of Kane Prime, and exclusive backstage attendance to his performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Adrienne Innis points out, “Several of the items will be website-only auction items, so if fans cannot attend the concert, they should check the website at www.mwmnashville.com to see if an item of interest might be available for bid. Don’t forget that all proceeds will go to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission.”

All performers are donating their time and talent to the event. All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission. The Schermrhorn Symphony Center is located at One Symphony Place, Nashville, TN 37201.
